South Korea is a beautiful country that offers many things to do during winter. Of course, I'm not talking about skiing or snowboarding, though those are also great!
Instead, I'm referring to all the fun activities you can do in South Korea's cities and towns during this season of the year.
From ice skating at a department store to hiking up a mountain for some fresh air, here are ten things that will keep you busy when the temperatures drop.
Ice skating in a department store!
The best place to ice skate in South Korea is at Lotte Department Store. There's an ice rink on the 9th floor, open daily from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm.
Adult tickets cost 3,000 won, and children's tickets are 2,000 won; these prices do not include any extra equipment or activities that may be included with your admission.
Also, there are many other private ice skating rinks that allow skaters and new learners to rent ice skates by the hour, which offer very reasonable fees.
More... Outdoor facilities, paid or free, can be easily found during the Korean Winter season. Usually, local city halls or district offices built their skating rinks on their spacious lawns or grounds.
There are many ski resorts in South Korea, and these mountains provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy winter sports.
The best time to go skiing is between December and March when the weather is mild enough for snow.
If you want to learn how to ski, there are many classes that you can take so that your first time on the slopes won't be scary or painful!
Going on a skiing adventure also gives you an opportunity to meet people from all over the world because, of course, most people who live here come from somewhere else too!
You might even meet someone special while living here, which would be amazing because everyone loves meeting new friends, right?
One of the best things to do in South Korea during winter is to hike up a mountain. The scenery, the nature, and the people will be a welcome respite from what can be an otherwise busy time of year.
To prepare for your hike, you'll want to get your feet wet by wearing waterproof boots or proper hiking shoes with good traction on grass or snow.
You should also wear warm layers underneath your clothes—you might even want to bring something like an extra sweater just in case it gets cold out there!
And finally, pack enough food and water so that if you're thirsty or hungry while hiking (or after), then don't worry too much about it because chances are someone else will know where they can find water nearby!
You can play in the snow, too! There are a lot of ways to have fun with snow:
You can go on a theme park ride with your family or friends.
You should check the weather before going to the park, because you may be uncomfortable if it's raining or snowing.
Make sure that you wear clothes that are appropriate for a theme park ride, such as hats and gloves (for when it's cold outside), as well as scarves for warmth if needed.
If there is an attraction inside where people walk around in line with each other, ensure that everyone is wearing theirs before entering so no one gets stuck behind someone else!
You can also bring food and drinks into the attraction if those options are available; make sure they don't weigh too much to stop anyone else from getting on board!
There are many rides at these kinds of places which include roller coasters but also carousels too—these types of rides offer fun activities like spinning around in circles while holding onto ropes attached between two poles over head height above ground level - this makes everyone fall down laughing uncontrollably!
It's a good time to go skiing or skating, and there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy.
If you're looking for something more traditional, try attending a winter festival at the local ice rink or ski resort.
You can even get some hot chocolate while you're at it! The festive atmosphere will make this an unforgettable experience that everyone will remember.
There are plenty of things to do if you're in South Korea during the Christmas season.
One of them is admiring the Christmas lights and decorations that many department stores and shopping centers put up around the country.
The center of Seoul has its own ice skating rink, making it an ideal place for those who want to try skating on frozen water.
Some places also have live performances by Santa Claus or other characters from Korean mythology (like Dangun). These events can be fun as well as educational—you can learn about how these myths became so popular in South Korea!
